KOI Appreciates MNC Group's Commitment as Official Broadcaster of SEA Games 2019

JAKARTA - Chair of the Indonesian Olympic Games (Ketua Olimpiade Indonesia - KOI), Erick Thohir, appreciated the commitment of MNC Group by becoming an official broadcaster for the SEA Games 2019 which will be held on 30 November to 11 December 2019 in the Philippines. Big support was shown by MNC Group by showing SEA Games 2019 matches, which will be available on various platforms.

These matches can later be watched through television shows under MNC Group, such as RCTI, MNCTV, GTV, iNews, MNC Sport, Soccer Channel, and MNC News. Likewise, with digital platforms such as RCTI+, MeTube, and Roof. In addition, people can get more extensive information about the SEA Games 2019 through Okezone.com, Sindonews.com, iNews.id, Koran Sindo, Sindo Weekly, Radio MNC Trijaya, Global Radio, V Radio, and Radio RDI.

Erick hopes that the presence of MNC Group as an official broadcaster could provide great energy to the people of Indonesia to support the athletes of the country that are competing. For MNC Group, especially RCTI, this is not the first time being an official broadcaster for SEA Games.

“This time, KOI is working with RCTI to broadcast matches as an official broadcaster. It is important for KOI to have an official broadcaster because the more Indonesian people watch, the greater the energy given to athletes who are struggling at the SEA Games,” said Erick Thohir at iNews Tower, on Monday (8/19/2019).

Meanwhile, the CEO of RCTI, Kanti Mirdiati Imansyah, has confirmed 11 sports that will be aired at the SEA Games 2019. The 11 sports are football, badminton, boxing, basketball, volleyball, athletics, aquatics, gymnastics, sepak takraw, taekwondo, and E-sport. Even so, it will still try to increase the number of shows from other sports that are usually being a mainstay of Indonesia to gain gold.

“The point is this, what we have gotten from the Philippines there are 11 sports, including football and badminton. But we will have a request too. So, in addition to 11 sports, there is a request, but we cannot confirm it yet,” said Kanti.
