Revenue of Digital Transformation Increased Multiply, MNC Launched 3 OTT Immediately

JAKARTA, - MNC Group launched three Over-the-Top (OTT) services immediately to strengthen digital transformation that shows multiple revenue growth.

First, RCTI Plus. This OTT service will broadcast streaming, contents related to MNC Media's Free Trade Air (FTA) broadcasts, including RCTI, GTV, MNCTV, and iNews TV. Not only that, but viewers will also be treated with content related to FTA, such as bloopers, behind the scenes, quizzes, and auditions.

Second, OTT for Pay TV, so that MNC Vision, MNC Play, K-Vision customers can watch via streaming anywhere at any time, according to the preferred channel. Third, an independent OTT. This OTT will be a joint venture with a subsidiary of Baidu.

“This will be the biggest OTT for Asian content,” said MNC Group Chairman Hary Tanoesoedibjo (HT) during the Analyst Meeting at the MNC Financial Center on Monday (8/19/2019).

HT explained that Asia dominates 60 percent of the world's population, and Asia's population growth is the fastest. The digital development of MNC is so fast. This time, the portal has reached number one of all sites in Indonesia. Not only goes beyond news sites, Okezone also goes beyond public visits to Google.

Okezone visitors currently reach 18 million per day. Okezone's revenue has also increased double year on year (YOY).

In the future, digital revenue is expected to continue to increase. As an illustration, in the first quarter of 2019, digital revenue contributed almost 9 percent of total advertising revenue.

Digital advertising in the first half of 2019 increased by to 318 percent to IDR 325.2 billion compared to the same period in 2018, which was IDR 77.6 billion.

In this digital era, there have been various digital initiatives to encourage the company's performance. First, there is a digital broadcast, where viewers can interact through gadgets with television shows, also votes, comments, and so on.

The Second is on social media. On YouTube, all uploaded MNC shows have received 13.7 billion views, with 37.5 million subscribers, and becomes the largest in Indonesia.

Not only that, MNC has got a multi-channel network license from YouTube, which means it can be an agent of content creators. In the near future, RCTI Plus is believed to be a new contributor and provide huge revenue for MNC Group.

With a 40 percent audience share or around 100 million TV viewers who have been loyal viewers of four TV MNC Groups, it can become a potential visitor of this OTT.
